Equipment ListEquipment for the IDPA Shooter1) Your pistol or revolver and the knowledge of how to draw & fire it safely from concealment. Optional: You may want a duplicate gun in case your gun breaks you can simply switch guns and keep shooting. Autoloaders can have a 5' barrel or less. Revolvers can have 4" barrel or shorter. 2) At least three magazines or speed loaders (possibly 4 Sloaders for Wheel-gunners). 3) Gun belt, holster, and two magazine or speed loader pouches.(Holster MUST cover the entire trigger guard and be worn on the firing hand side of your body - line the holster up with the seam in your jeans or further back is fine.) 4) Eye & Ear protection. 5) Concealment garment (most stages and even entire matches may REQUIRE drawing from concealment). 6) Your IDPA membership card & Classifier info (please know your Division and Class Level if you've shot IDPA before). 7) Some cash - matches will cost $20 dollars for each Division you shoot (please try to bring exact change - especially if you're shooting in the AM). 8) About 100 Rounds of Full-Power self defense ammo (your reloads are OK as long as they meet the IDPA 'Power Floor' - see IDPA Rule book for details). 9) Your Tri-County Sportman's League Membership card (to confirm any work hours you may be putting in during the match). 10) Optional: Your own beverages, snacks or lunch/breakfast (we WILL most likely offer concessions near the range but they will indeed cost money). Dehydration in the hot Summer months is definitely something to avoid.
Equipment for IDPA Match Organizers and SOs1) IDPA Targets and Pasters. 2) Match Timers (possibly an interface for a computer?) 3) Safety Officer caps or T-Shirts - OR both. 4) IDPA Membership forms. 5) $50 cash in small bills for making change (Strongbox for storing cash - at this time, I believe we will NOT accept personal checks). 6) Laptop Computer (Optional: printer and paper. Computer should have Scoring DB using MS Access installed). 7) IDPA Scoring Sheets. 8) Signup Sheets for next Match (we plan to accept registrations for the next scheduled Match via email request (idpa@tcsl.org). 9) Eye & Ear protection. 10) Lots of pens (for filling out forms). 11) Black/White paint (for marking targets behind hard cover or indicating no-shoot, non-threat targets). 12) Spare batteries for Timers (and possibly for computer). 13) Signs to designate Safe Area(s). 14) Tent(s) or tarps for protection from elements (However, new pistol range building may provide this). 15) IDPA Rule book - at least 2 copies. 16) Extension chords. 17) Tables and Chairs for organizers. 18) First Aid Kit (one near each stage). 19) Iron 'pop-up' target(s) and/or Motion or swinging target rigs as required by the specific stages at the match. 20) Rope/String (to trigger moving targets). 21) Props (Desk, door frames, chair, phone, brief case, bed, etc). 22) Instructions for each stage (on paper easily accessible near each stage). 23) Measuring Tape to verify distance to targets, etc. 24) Ribbons/Trophies for Winning participants (these will actually be mailed out - NOT handed out at the match). 25) Buckets for brass (actually these should already be on the range). 26) Beverages/Concessions/Grill - Optional. 27) Overhead projector for computer (and screen) - Optional. 28) Digital Camera (for pics for the web site). 29) TCSL Membership forms. 30) MCRGO membership forms. 31) TCSL-IDPA Flyers , Word Doc Version and CoF Props Document, Word Doc Version, more CoF Props Docs (word format, courtesy of Kay Lockwood CCRC) - one, two, and three.
